Biophotonics: Visions for Better Health Care

Biophotonics describes the use of the most advanced optical technologies in biological and medical research, including advanced microscopy and spectroscopy methods. These are combined with the latest computer technology for such tasks as pattern recognition, and the applications range from cell biology and cancer research to the detection of allergens.
