This book provides a detailed, superbly illustrated guide to the clinical diagnosis of eyelid tumours and the surgical procedures used for tumour excision and eyelid reconstruction.

The first section of the book covers differential diagnosis and features over 100 full colour photographs of benign and malignant eyelid tumours and inflammatory conditions accompanied by concise descriptions of the clinical presentation and the course of these lesions. This section is designed to enable the clinician to distinguish accurately lesions requiring biopsy and/or surgical removal from those that should be treated medically or observed for changes.

The second section details the procedures used in biopsy and tumour removal and subsequent eyelid reconstruction. There are new chapters on pathology and radiosurgery. The author provides thorough coverage of the currently accepted procedures for performing eyelid tumour biopsies using frozen sections to evaluate tumour margins, and the most effective techniques for upper and lower lid reconstruction. All are illustrated by surgical drawings and full colour photographs of the key steps in the procedures.
