Berkeley, along with Locke and Hume, is one of the most famous of the "British Empiricists". He is therefore a good candidate for the "expanded" Great Minds list. I'm presenting this book (and the volume on Maimonides) simply as a proposal to get the volume under contract. Atherton was Steve Nadler's first choice as author for Berkeley, and I'd like to get her under contract before she's poached by someone else. We will of course do develoment work on the contents and chapters before the book is published. I'd just like to get the book "under wraps" for now, and then sort out the details with the author as the time comes.
