Harnessing Bistable Structural Dynamics: For Vibration Control, Energy Harvesting and Sensing

This book formulates and consolidates a coherent understanding of how the exploitation of bistable system dynamics may enhance the three technical fields of vibration control, energy harvesting, and sensing. The theoretical rigor and depth are provided in the case studies and will assist both researchers and engineers. The three fields have received significant research interest in recent years, particularly in regards to the advantageous exploitation of nonlinearities.
