Digital Image Processing for Seismic Data Analysis

The seismic industry is benefitting from applying DSP ideas to seismic data and the plan is for this book to bring seismic processing and seismic data to the attention of electrical engineering students and practitioners. The book will cover the basics of seismic exploration, however with the focus of the book being on image processing techniques as applied to seismic data. Through many synthetic and real data examples after each theory, concept or algorithm, readers will be provided with a real practical understanding of the image processing algorithms in question to enable them to apply imaging techniques to seismic data. The book will allow readers to understand the processing methods to devise algorithms, software and hardware for interpreting seismic data.
