The ninth edition of Rocket Propulsion Elements as with previous editions will offer a thorough introduction to basic principles of rocket propulsion, a description of the various type of rockets' physical mechanisms and designs, and an understanding of how rocket propulsion is applied to flying vehicles. The strength of the book lies in its delivery of both theory and practical applications covering rocket propulsion for guided missiles, space flight, or satellite flight more clearly and comprehensively than any other work. The ninth edition will be updated to include the latest advances in the field: changes in materials, systems design, propellants, applications and manufacturing technologies. At the same time older system types or those that have fallen out of favor, such as hybrid systems will be downplayed in favor of those commonly found in use around the world today.
